Best for Lower Crowds: Late January Through Mid-February
The weeks after New Year’s and before Presidents’ Day tend to have some of the lowest crowds of the year, with genuinely shorter lines at the newer Epic Universe as well as the original two parks.
Best for Mild Weather: September Through Early November
Fall offers a genuine sweet spot of cooler weather and lower crowds, before Halloween Horror Nights and holiday crowds pick up later in the season.
Worst for Crowds: Summer and Major Holidays
June through August, along with Thanksgiving, Christmas and spring break weeks, bring the largest crowds and highest prices — genuinely worth avoiding if flexibility allows.
What About Epic Universe Crowds?
As Universal’s newest park, Epic Universe genuinely draws heavier crowds than the resort’s older parks regardless of season, so budget extra time for its most popular attractions.
