What Is EPCOT?
EPCOT is split into two main areas: World Celebration and World Discovery on one side, and World Showcase — eleven country pavilions circling a central lagoon — on the other, each offering genuinely distinct food, shopping and cultural experiences.
World Showcase
World Showcase is genuinely more about strolling, eating and shopping than thrill rides, with each pavilion staffed largely by people from that country and food that’s a step up from typical theme park fare.
Best Time to Visit
EPCOT’s seasonal festivals — flower and garden in spring, food and wine in fall — genuinely change the park’s offerings significantly, so timing your visit around a festival can be worth planning for.
How Much Time Do You Need?
A full day works for most visitors, though food-focused travelers often want a second day to properly explore World Showcase without rushing between pavilions.
